Reading the results
No matching records and an unavailable query are different outcomes. TTLs are displayed in seconds; zero is a valid TTL. A completed request does not mean a domain passed its health checks. Only the submitted DNS owner and explicitly listed checks are inspected.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Domain to IP Checker return IPv6 addresses?
No. The implemented query type is A, so the page requests IPv4 records only.
Why are several IP addresses displayed?
A hostname can publish multiple A records for load distribution, redundancy, or a large edge network.
Why does the IP differ from the origin server?
A proxy or content delivery network can publish its edge address instead of the private origin address.
Can the result identify the hosting company?
No. The output contains DNS record values and does not perform IP ownership or network registration lookup.
Why is a previous address still returned?
The recursive resolver may cache the former A record until its TTL expires.
Does a returned IP prove the website works?
No. DNS resolution does not test HTTP response, TLS, application health, or server reachability.
