Reading the results
No matching records and an unavailable query are different outcomes. TTLs are displayed in seconds; zero is a valid TTL. A completed request does not mean a domain passed its health checks. Only the submitted DNS owner and explicitly listed checks are inspected.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does Nameserver Checker contact each authoritative server separately?
No. The current implementation performs a general DNS lookup and lists the returned records. It does not send labeled queries to each authoritative nameserver.
Does the output measure nameserver response speed?
No. No response-time field is generated, so the page cannot compare nameserver speed.
Why can I see records other than NS?
The code requests all available DNS records rather than limiting the request to NS. The generic table can therefore include address, mail, text, and authority rows.
Why are expected nameservers absent from the table?
The resolver may have cached another delegation, or the NS records may not be returned in this general query. Confirm the registrar delegation with an NS-specific lookup.
Can this result identify a lame delegation?
No. A lame-delegation check requires querying the delegated servers and comparing their authority responses, which this page does not do.
Why does the table differ from the registrar nameserver list?
Registrar changes and recursive caches can take time to align. The table represents the resolver data returned at the time of the request.
